Community Programs

In conjunction with the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, the GNOSF manages a number of outreach programs designed to reach the local area youth.

Chevron Scholar Athlete of the Week
In support of local student-athletes pursuing higher education, Chevron will be the presenting sponsor of the High School Scholar Athletes of the Week award that recognizes a male and female high school senior from the Greater New Orleans area. The recipients will be recognized weekly at the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback Club luncheon.

Additionally, each recipient will be recognized on the field during the 2016 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on December 19th.  Finally, all winners will be invited to a Pelicans basketball game where there will be a drawing for one male and one female to receive a $5,000 scholarship.

Football 4 Kids Program
Through the Football 4 Kids Program hundreds of underprivileged youth in the greater New Orleans area receive tickets, purchased by local corporate sponsors, to attend the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Tickets 4 Troops
Through the Tickets for Troops Program hundreds of former and active members of the Armed Forces receive tickets, purchased by local corporate sponsors, to attend the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
